Yes, I know its not cool to like DMB. I don’t care this song is in my blood. I def have hearing damage from blasting this at max volume. This version is my favorite of the full band playing the song. Holds on to the anger of a genecide and the arrogance of those committing such an act. The tone shifts bombastic rage → tranquil reverie shold not be possible but it land for me. You start in the perspective of the settler forcing a tribe away and ends with what feels like the ghosts saying “don’t fall asleep”.
