The scale does all the math for me.
I add coffee, it shows the weight, I press start, and it tells me how much water to add for a ~1:17 ratio while timing the pour.
This is a simpler version of this insanity.
Eventually I might find a gooseneck kettle that has its own heating element. The neck on my kettle is not easy to pour with. I also like the idea of having a dedicated water warming device that I can pack away and take with me. If the grinder broke today, which I don’t think will ever happen, I would just buy the same one. But if I was gifted a fancy stainless steel or ceramic version of this grinder, I would be very happy.
